You are right - This kind of response is so pathetic that it is barely
better than just not answering at all.  It says to me, "I am going to do as
I please because what could you, a mere citizen, know about these serous
issues?"

Isn't that typical?  Some legislators have a mind set they won't break and
pretend to listen to us.  Fortunately, they listen here but they don't
always agree with the publics wishes.
