www.microsith.com ... Format and reinstall. Welcome back, one and all. Merry New Year (yes, Merry, 'cause if it isn't, you haven't drunk enough yet!). P.S. Try using a local admin account and deleting the domain admin profile directory (the domain admin profile directory on my systems always shows up as "administrator.[domainname]". P.P.S Why are you using a domain admin account at all? Is there something specific that you need to install with a domain account? Changing settings, installing programs, etc, using the domain admin account is icky - you end up propagating all sorts of interesting stuff onto servers that don't have a clue because you haven't done it there yet. Well, that's what I've found, anyway. P.P.S.S. Keyboard Locale/System Locale/Input Locale sucks the big one in Windows. Ours keeps changing back to United States (English), even though I've done all the default user stuff properly (step by bloody step). Anyway, now I'm ranting. Back to the drink ... okay, okay, ya got me, it's just coffee, I admit it. The administrator can not make ANY changes to ANY = settings, they are all ignored!!! I logged in using a different domain = admin account and was able to make the change. Is therefore looks like the administrator profile has got "screwed", so = my new question is, is it safe to delete the D:\Documents and = Settings\Administrator account, so it is recreated when I re-logon, or = is there "special" stuff in there. Hi all, hope there is someone else working this weekend.... OS: Windows 2000 SP2, Metaframe XP FR2 I am rebuilding a Citrix server from scratch, and although I set the =3D keyboard locale to English (United Kingdom) when installing Windows 2000 = =3D Server, I noticed after installing Metaframe XP and Office 2000 that the = =3D locale had defaulted back to English (United States). =3D20 When I try to add English (United Kingdom) to the list, it is displayed = =3D in the list but when I click on Apply or OK, the server beeps and it =3D disappears from the list. I have tried adding the locale in both install and execute mode and it = =3D doesn't make any difference. I could find nothing in the MS Knowledge = =3D base, or the thin.net achieves that helped. Any Ideas?
