I had this same problem, and it is easy to disable the Veritas VSP (Volume Snapshot Provider). In the NetBackup Administration Console... Expand the Host Properties Node and select Master Server Dbl Clk your master server on the right (or rt clk Properties) Go to Client Attributes node Select Tab on Right called "Windows Open File Backup" Deselect "Enable Windows Open File Backups for this client" You may still have some "locked" vsp files. They can be deleted after a reboot or you can kill the handles if you have Process Explorer from SysInternals or a similar utility and then delete. You will now get status 1 reports on some of your backups (some files could not be backed up because they were in use). These can be excluded from the backup routines. luck bob ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: Lakeside Software SysTrack is the easiest to use, most complete way to monitor system and application performance.
