Yes and no... If Application compatibility is an issue, there is always
softricity.  Even go so far as Softricity on Terminal Server.

This is very true.  I'm waiting for a Linux host version for ACE.

I can say that looking at ACE might be a good alternative to Terminal
Services or MetaFrame.  However, if you have clients across a WAN,
and you want to deploy a Corporate application where the data is
centrally located, using TS or MF makes better sense than using ACE. 
However, if you run into application compatibility issues where it
does not run properly on the TS/MF server, then ACE might be an
alternative.

But, does it really make sense to use ACE just to deploy one or two
applications in a controlled environment?  Maybe.  This all depends
on other mitigating factors (time to deployment, administration,
maintenance, etc).
