A different port is needed because the clients need to reestablish a connection to the citrix server. This is handled through the auto-reconnect feature of session reliability. Since there's already a "WAIT" session established to the server on port 1494, the clients needs to make a connection back to the server on a different port. -----Original Message----- From: Lilley, Brian [mailto:brian.lilley@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 10:54 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] session reliability hello again, does anyone have any idea why Session reliability uses port 2598 instead of 1494, given that its a farmwide setting a server could only listen to ica on that one port only?? thanks in advance.. ============================================================================ == This message is for the sole use of the intended recipient.
