For now it's just network printers using JetDirects. We're trying to
roll it out to the branch offices and are running into this issue. They
are running XP FR2.

It does compress the print job. BUT it depends on where your bottle neck
is. What FR are you on. With FR2 for XP they changed the client printing
setup for network printers. Did it change recently or has it always been
slow. Are you using client printers or pure network printers, If client
what is on the client side...

What are you guys doing to resolve slow print jobs in this situation:

I have citrix clients printing to network printers in their office via
the citrix server across the wan. The jobs take anywhere from 30 seconds
to 2 minutes to start printing.  Is my only option to stick a citrix
server at the remote offices? There are probably less than ten users at
these sites...=3D3D20

What about screwdrivers? Does it compress the job enough to speed it up
considerably?
