I don't know about weekly. I generally set the DS if Access based to backup
nightly to a remote server share that's backed up to tape. Otherwise use a
SQL backup or DB backup agents if you have them to get your SQL DS on tape.

DSmaint really is the key to all of your questions here Roger. You don't
create a new DS and import data, that's not possible. You really need to
just restore from your backups. Check the following doc for more info, and
command line switches.

You use the DSMAINT utility.

I schedule a DSMAINT BACKUP %WINDIR% to run on a weekly basis on all of the
MetaFrame Data Stores that I set up.

What happens if the data store (Access or SQL) goes down and is not able
to be recovered? I know that we'd have 48 hrs to get something done, but
not sure what. Could you create a new database and transfer the local
host cache to it? If so, it'd be easy enough to create a new db with SQL
but how would you do it with an Access database?

Do any of you back up your data stores (Access or SQL)?
