Otherwise, create a key with the name of your application (less .exe extension) under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Compatibility\Applications. The app compat settings are defined in a Flags value (reg_dword), and should be set to 0x10. That is unfortunately about the only easy way to handle netbios name dependent apps in a multi-user environment. I have an application that relies on the Netbios name of the client. The application refuses to work with the %clientname% variable and the software company wont rewrite the application.
