Redmond just made a free tool available to better integrate their 
desktop management software with Dell servers. It was originally 
announced in November at the Copenhagen IT Forum and is called 
the "SMS 2003 Inventory Tool for Dell Updates". This tool helps 
you to determine if your servers need the latest Dell BIOS, 
firmware and drivers, and you can deploy drivers and check on 
their update status in a much easier way. 

The tool is a piece of the puzzle to integrate Dell's OpenManage 
4 systems management software with SMS, and gives you a unified 
view for tasks such as patch management and configuration
