No, you only need an MST if there are some other changes/properties you
need to set. If you just want a plain MSI to install silently, add it as
is. You can certainly add an MST as well, but you don't need to worry about
the silent switches.

well,the problem is,that i - as for as i know- need to reconfigure the msi
into mst's to do that.

That's how it works. It adds the /qb automatically. Do you have an issue
