Sorry, "specify", not "speficy". I am a dyslexic typer sometimes! ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Landin, Mark Sent: Thursday, July 06, 2006 9:26 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: long printer names change from MPS 3.0 to PS 4.0 Screwdrivers from Tricerat? You can speficy your own printer name format (plus all the additional benefits of not hassling with drivers, etc). ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Schneider, Chad M Sent: Thursday, July 06, 2006 9:19 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] long printer names change from MPS 3.0 to PS 4.0 I have a set of servers, running an application on MPS 3.0, that I want to upgrade to PS 4.0, in my new farm. The application uses a printer which is specified in the INI for the application, for each user. IN MPS 3.0 the long printer naming is client\clientname#\printer, but in PS 4.0, it is client/clientname/printer. In order to upgrade the servers, I would need to alter hundreds of roaming profiles, changing each one's INI file to the new naming.... Any better suggestions?
