It really depends on the app. Until it can get the glyph map down to the client it is basically useless. With default settings the SSLR will poll the app and query the field to try and determine the font, font size and color. Then build that map send it to the client and allow the client to echo away. The problem with over and under sizes and colors can generally be worked around if the app running has a standard color font and background (like black or blue white) by customizing the fields usage. This create custom SSLR files ont eh server that can then be copied to the other servers. Of course these customizations even have their limits. I understand that it "guesses" a font and size before it's verified with the server, but it's not consistent. Sometimes the text is so small that you can't read it, sometimes it's larger than 10 or 12 point and can be different colors such as blue and red. It can change to any of these in the same session and even in the same instance of IE. Any ideas or explanations? I haven't customized local text echo for the app. It's just enabled for it. Thanks, Roger
