I do not believe so, but here is what happened to us. Early CALs, issued before a patch for the lic server, had no expire date. That meant that machines that were tested early in our lab setting had grabbed licenses, and never released them. Most of these lab machines didn't even exist anymore. Microsoft Licensing center took care of the problem for us. We called them, explained how many licenses had been gobbled with a No Expiration date included, and they issued us enough licenses to cover the mistake.
