This is from: http://www.citrix4ge.de/ctxsffaq/index.htm#lostAdmin To delete ALL Citrix Administrator and add the local Admin accout to the Citrix datastore use the UNSUPPORTED Slim Jim utility. Note that the DB2 is NOT supported at this time and Slim Jim is tested with SQL 2000, Access and Oracle DS and MetaFrame XP FR2/FR3. With the "chfarm" you can reset the Fram without installing any server again, but you have to add license, printer mappings, publish application etc. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Lynch Sent: Tuesday, November 04, 2003 10:55 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: install of Metaframe XPe. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Glad to know about this tool. Do you know what exactly it does? Citrix has a Slim Jim tool that will reset the Citrix Administrator's account. Some farms are too large to recreate by hand. I too ran into this problem a while back. By default, anyone that is a member of the LOCALSYSTEM\Administrators group, you should be able to log into the console. But, this hasn't always been the case. IF you have added more Citrix Admins to the farm, and you have renamed the server, you will need to start over. There is no recovery process, other than starting over from scratch. If you are running a SQL or Oracle DB, you will need to delete it and create it over again. If it is an Access DB, then just re-installing it will be sufficient. I have setup my server with Metaframe XPe FR3. I however did not have the time on Friday to get the licensing info and it said I could enter it later. So today when I tried to enter the info in I could not log on to the Management Console. I did rename the server but kept the Administrator name and password the same. When I try to logon it asks for the farm name along with the username and password. The name was not the same as the new machine name, it was the old one, so I put in the new name and entered the info for user name and domain. It will not let me log on. Am I missing something real easy here or do I need to reinstall Metaframe.
