Hi Brian,

My initial answer would be yes, redirect Application Data and recent.
However, where you have an application that really hammers these folders
(eg macromedia suite) you'll have to be very aware of the hefty overhead
in network i/o. In addition, the save as function user interface in any
Microsoft product that uses filename autocompletion will be woefully
slow unles you keep the recent folders pruned.

Subject: [THIN] folder redirection in terminal services

hi list,

I am implementing folder redirection for a terminal services
environment. =20

Should the terminal services environment be redirected to its own
'Application Data' and 'Recent' folders. =20

The reason why I ask is that it is documented in the Flex profile kit in
this manner and wondered why. I guess the 'Application Data' may be
separate in order to allow the application versions on terminal servers
to be out of sync with the apps on the fat clients. But why the
'Recent' directory?

thanks in advance,

Brianos
