I quite like the sound of 'free', but there would be rumblings about ownership
of responsibility, i.e. no manufacturer behind the Profile Kit... the usual
bugbear I guess..

There is budget for consulting and cost per server, however if they all
achieve roughly the same thing I would obviously tend towards the free stuff.

All depends on how much money you want to spend ; ) Free  vs. a huge
consulting fee vs. software cost per server...
