In some customers I have we decided to remove the Tricerat thing as it
was slow compared to a plain TS.
Nice policies/scripts/tricks did the same without any performance hit
and for free.

I'd go with a product I could implement without too much consulting
work, if I had to choose in your position... and software accountability
was an issue with the bigwigs.

I quite like the sound of 'free', but there would be rumblings about
ownership
of responsibility, i.e. no manufacturer behind the Profile Kit... the
usual
bugbear I guess..
There is budget for consulting and cost per server, however if they all
achieve roughly the same thing I would obviously tend towards the free
stuff.
