Unfortunately there is no real fix for the mouse issue that I have come across. We ran into the same issue but our users were not allowed to do print screens so we disabled on the local PC -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sheflin, Andrew Sent: Monday, February 24, 2003 4:06 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: clipboard problems We manage a help desk. Print screen is a way for users to e-mail an error in a particular application. Or we have users that create manuals to certain applications, so they will do a print screen to capture and paste it in their manuals. -----Original Message----- From: Magnus [mailto:magnus@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday February 24, 2003 2:13 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: clipboard problems The reason that the mouse disappears is due to the info being put to the local PC's clipboard. This I believe is by design from M$. Is there a particular reason why they are using the print screen button? (for an application maybe) or are they doing this just because they want to? The problem is when the user hits print screen the mouse will disappear for minutes unless you Alt-Tab to the local pc and then back. This used to work just fine until recently. -----Original Message----- From: Magnus [mailto:magnus@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday February 24, 2003 11:37 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: clipboard problems Are they are able to hit the print screen button in a session and paste it to WordPad (for Example) in the same session? -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sheflin, Andrew Sent: Monday, February 24, 2003 11:34 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: clipboard problems Disabling the clipboard on the local PC would defeat the purpose of using Citrix, since I have over 600 workstations and this problem is happening on windows based terminals as well. -----Original Message----- From: Magnus [mailto:magnus@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday February 24, 2003 11:20 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: clipboard problems It is using the local PC's Clipboard for the Print screen not the Citrix one that is why this is happening. Try disabling the clipboard on the PC and they will not be able to do it Magnus -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sheflin, Andrew Sent: Monday, February 24, 2003 11:03 AM To: Citrix List (E-mail) Subject: [THIN] clipboard problems We have the Disable Client Clipboard Mapping checked, but when users hit Print Screen it still copies it to the local pc clipboard. This is happening on both W2K and NT4 servers all of which have MF 1.8 SP3.
