Actually, Dirk's Diskpart utility suggestion worked perfectly. Thanks for the input. -----Original Message----- From: Braebaum, Neil [mailto:Neil.Braebaum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, October 20, 2003 11:21 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: changing CD-ROM drive letter > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Perkins [mailto:MPerkins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: 20 October 2003 17:12 > To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: [THIN] Re: changing CD-ROM drive letter > > Yes I could. Thanks for the input. vbscript, natively, doesn't provide any mechanism for this sort of thing, normally. vbscript taken by itself, is useful (as other scripting languages) for making active web pages. Beyond that, on it's own, it's quite limited for client-side scripting. It's only when combined with other technology (ie WSH, ADSI, or WMI) that it becomes something like a system admin type scripting tool. I'm merely wondering why you are spending so much time considering altering an OS after the fact, when surely it would be easier to just create the image with the correct CD-ROM drive letter.
