Hi, Yes, you can. Note however that auto-updater is a dangerous tool in a multi-user environment due to deceptive ease of use and potential exposure to other users. I like "Microsoft Network Security Hotfix Checker" hfnetchk.exe: Description: -------------------------- http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=34935A76-0B20-4F91-A0DE-BAAF969CED2B Download: -------------------------- http://download.microsoft.com/download/win2000platform/Utility/3.3/NT45/EN-US/Nshc332.exe which I run from a batch file: rem --------------------- hfnetchk.exe>>out.txt notepad.exe out.txt rem --------------------- If you keep output file around (out.txt in the above example), you will see history of your updates. I had some cases when automatic update missed things that were broken after original patch, but "hfnetchk" compared DLL versions and recommended the update. To be honest I did not conduct detailed comparison of the above two approaches and do not know if "hfnetchk" has ability to report all update information such as new driver availability.
