Hi Greg & Jeremy,

Thanks you hit the nail on the head, I do only have one XML server listed.

I' ll look at adding in other servers and the web interface config.

Cheers guys!!

Al

Not the server running the web interface, but in the web interface
configuration in the farm setup section. You enter the list of XML servers
running your farm. Do you have more than one of your farms servers listed there?

J I think what Greg meant was. in the Web Interface configuration you point it
to a Farm. Under that setting you add the XML servers. You need to add multiple
XenApp servers at that point. If Web Interface is having issues contacting the
first XML service, it' ll then try the next one.

So there are a couple of ways to do this. I personally always configure the
following DNS hosts.
- Ica - points to the Primary Zone Data Collector
- Ica2 - points to the Backup Zone Data Collector
- Icabackup - points to the failover Primary Zone Data collector
- Icabackup2 - points to the failover Backup Zone Data Collector
These are the 4 records I use in the web interface config. I never use server
names, as it doesn' t give you a lot of flexibility.

Cheers,
Jeremy.

Hi Experts,

Just a quick question, this morning I had an issue with my Data Zone Collector
which is also my citrix and TS license server. When anyone tried to log into
the WI there was no authentication.

I checked the CSG event logs and saw lots of SOCKS errors event ID 131

When running the AMC on any citrix server it wouldn' t load so I had to re-boot
the data collector which in turn fixed everything.

My concern is that I would have thought a data collector election would have
taken place and another XenApp server would have been elected. I have checked
the config and all servers are in the list for preferred so not sure why I have
a single point of failure here. ..any ideas??

Cheers

Al
