Doing slow upgrades works fine.

Provided you have the licensing server setup first, you shouldn't have
any problems.

I staged one recently for a client and we didn't update the clients till
last and it worked fine.

Subject: [THIN] XPe to 3.0 Migration

Are there any issues with a slow migration of servers to the new
version? It suggests using the 8.0 version of the client. Did anyone try
doing the upgrade without upgrading their client versions?
