Doing slow upgrades works fine. Provided you have the licensing server setup first, you shouldn't have any problems. I staged one recently for a client and we didn't update the clients till last and it worked fine. It suggests using the 8.0 version of the client. Did anyone try doing the upgrade without upgrading their client versions?
