what are you doing with your old boundless 325 terminals? In anyone out there using Rapport 4.x to manage their thin clients? We just got in over 200 new Wyse 9450XE's to begin the process of replacing the 900+ old boundless 325 terminals we have. I love the new devices, Rapport has been an absolute nightmare. At first they wouldn't work accross switches, they blamed our network, but I later proved to them Rapport was not RFC complaint with how they were sending some DHCP Info packets. They patched that problem, but to date I not been able to successfully apply an image I created to one thin-client. The odd part, at least in my mind, is I looked for links in dog-pile and google and other than Wyse's lacking knowledge base I was unable to find anything of substance. Beginning to think we are the only customer they ever dup'ed into buying Rapport 4.x. If I had to do it over again, I would recommend they purchase the terminals, but use something other than Rapport to manage them. -Mike MacDonald, MCSE, CCA -----Original Message----- From: Roger Riggins [mailto:roger.riggins@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 16, 2004 3:51 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Wyse Winterm 1200LE We have about 60 of them and are ordering another 100 next week. They’re easily configured via FTP. They’re the fastest terminal by a landslide; and this quarter the new firmware will include VNC capabilities. They rock!
