[THIN] Write Cache

All,

If we have write cache enabled on a battery backup hp smart array 6i 
controller, do we have to enable the Windows 2003 "enable write cache on 
the disk" and the "Enable advanced performance" options (in the Policies 
tab in the properties of the hard disk in Device Manager) to take 
advantage of write caching?
