cant tell you why its doing this, its possible the files have already been 
deleted and word doesnt like that - we get that sometimes!

Anyway, the reg entry this list is stored under appears to be-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Resiliency\DocumentRecovery\

Just nuke the subkeys under there, each one is a document in the list
(In fact, looking at my reg now, i dont even have the resiliency key, guess you 
could delete that too)

Got a problem under Citrix 1.8 and Office XP, where every second or so
time someone opens a word document, that annoying pane on the left side
comes up with blank documents it has apparently recovered. You can
individually delete all these files, delete all of them when you close
the pane, etc, but they still come back every second or so time.
