Hope you don't mind if I ask what was wrong with the units that were bought
initially?

Thanks

Most terminal manufacturers will send you a demo unit at no cost. I =
recommend you get a few and give them the Pepsi challenge. Test drive =
the management tools as well and find out if they charge for the =
management tools.

Every terminal maker will have a white paper available from some group =
stating why theirs is the best. Take them for what they are worth and =
consider the source.

We use thin clients across the board here. We initially bought the =
wrong units and have been paying the price ever since. It really is =
worth the trouble to try these units out before committing to a large =
purchase.

Greg

Subject: [THIN] Winterm Evaluation

I'm currently evaluating winterm devices, primarily Neoware Vs Wyse =
CE.net &
XP Embedded devices. =20
=20
Management Software is obviously a major consideration. I've read =
Christa
Anderson's white paper "Choosing a Thin-Client Management Tool for an
Enterprise Network" on Wyse's site. Rapport with its' distributed
architecture looks quite good for our purposes so have an eval version =
that
I'm checking out. =20
=20
Do you know of any good resources for winterm comparisons ie current
whitepapers, evaluation matrix templates or links to comparative reviews
etc?
=20
Thanks
