Only a single user has this problem? After they login with a new profile
for the first time do they get the message? Or do they start getting it
once you walk away?

I'd look for any possible 'changes' the user may be making while within
their session. Any apps that might be trying to run within the users
'run' key in the registry, or even their 'start up' folder from the
programs list.=20

If you're using them, client connected printers with un-supported
drivers can be a possibility as well. =20

Anything happening in the event logs aside from the explorer.exe event
at the point that the user attempts to login and has this issue?

Subject: [THIN] Windows Explorer crashes

Hi all,
I have a user who is complaining about Windows Explorer crashing at
logon.
The error message is:
Application Popup: Explorer.EXE - Application Error: The instruction at
"0x77add97a" referenced memory at "0x0054004e". The memory could not be
"read".
Click OK to terminate the program.

Basically, explorer just crashes an restarts. I've tried giving him a
new
profile and he still gets these
messages once in a while.
Has anyone run into this same problem? Any fix?

I'm using Windows 2000 SP3, MF XP FR2.

Any help is appreciated.
