if you can get reliable teaming with any dell BROADCOM 1GB nics them you =
are doing better than us...they are the biggest piece of rubbish..

in standalone setup they are fine....

in adaptive load balancing it looks like they loose a route and then =
nothing can go in or out, however the link stays up (not good with =
60-80 users on a 1655mc blade :(  _

jump on the cnsole and tracert to the gateway of the vlan and they fix =
themselves up again

You don't say how big a farm you're planning, but...

Test, test and test again. 2003 is good. FR3 is good. Dell 2650 servers =
a=3D
re =3DE9"!$* but just about do the job (I bear a grudge against anything =
no=3D
n HP/Compaq). Combine the lot with NIC teaming using the onboard Dell =
NIC=3D
s, and you get capacity, performance and reliability problems under a =
mod=3D
erate load.

Jeremy Thomas

What are the general thoughts on the combination of Windows 2003 server
and XP FR3 - safe for production? I am planning a new farm and was
thinking about sticking with 2000 or jumping to 2003.
