Hi Ron,

I know that, it is a Virtual channel in the RDP 5.2 protocol.
I can't imagine that's nessesary to have a Sound Card in the server to
use client audio redirection on the Terminal Client..
This is stated in a PowerPoint presentation distributed by Microsoft on
ITForum 2002

Yeah RDP 5.2 (with 2003) has an audio channel.
It is off by default on the client. You have to turn it on per
connection but its there.,
