I ran two Proliant 6000's (kegerators) with quad 500's. It was all but unusable... and very touchy. My users can tell when they hit one of them. Everything takes longer. adam Steve Snyder <steven_snyder@ya To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx hoo.com> cc: Sent by: Subject: [THIN] Windows 2003 - Any Realistic Load Capabilities? thin-bounce@freel ists.org 10/20/2003 03:13 PM Please respond to thin 5 Compaq Proliants each with 3GB of memory and 3 PIII-550 procs (I've no idea what the fascination with 3 was). Currently running NT4/MF18, would like to go to win2003/MFXP. Usually about 35 users are on each box, running your basic Office 2000 apps and a sometimes cpu-intensive enterprise app called MIMS. Has anyone actually implemented Win2003/MF on older hardware such as this, and if so, has the performance been acceptable and not drastically reduced?
