I ran two Proliant 6000's (kegerators) with quad 500's. It was all but
unusable... and very touchy.

I've done W2K XPe FR3 on a few Proliant 5500 with 1.5GB RAM. All I can say
is the system is SLOOOOOOOW. My users can tell when they hit one of them.
Everything takes longer.

5 Compaq Proliants each with 3GB of memory and 3
PIII-550 procs (I've no idea what the fascination with
3 was). Currently running NT4/MF18, would like to go
to win2003/MFXP. Usually about 35 users are on each
box, running your basic Office 2000 apps and a
sometimes cpu-intensive enterprise app called MIMS.

Has anyone actually implemented Win2003/MF on older
hardware such as this, and if so, has the performance
been acceptable and not drastically reduced?

TIA
