Test all of your mission critical applications prior to. I wouldn't say 2003 is "better"... but I do like the licensing model a bit more. -----Original Message----- From: Jennifer Booth [mailto:jennifer.booth@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, October 14, 2003 2:14 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Windows 2000 vs. 2003 Good morning! We're doing a new project here, and we're thinking about building this new server with Windows 2003 vs. 2000. Is anyone out there running 2003 yet in a production environment? I understand that I'll have to run a 2003 Terminal Server Licensing box. Can this be run on the same server? If TS Licensing cannot be run on the same box, can it be run on one internal to the network and a pinhole put in the firewall to allow communications? The term server is going to be in our DMZ to provide additional access to vendors. Since we're starting out from scratch, and the word out there is that 2003 is better, we're thinking about going that route from the start. Let me know!
