The best way Matt is to do what all of us have done for years.=20
Write a little script that checks for the INI in the user's home dir and
if it isn't there just copy it.=20

You can make the reg entries under the main exe if you want and give it
a shot, but I just find scripting it easier.=20

Subject: [THIN] Wierd application issue

Have a 32-bit windows app. (SARSGrid) that after installed, will run in=20
/install mode but not in /execute mode (cannot find initialization
file).=20
However, if we manually copy a .ini file to the h:\windows directory the

application runs. We found a M$ article (Q186498) that talks about this=20
specific issue. We then needed to add an entry in the registry listed in

that article for each .exe called in or through the application. Has
anyone=20
experienced this issue before? Is there another solution? I could not
just=20
have one entry for the main .exe, I needed one for each (about 11
.exe's).

Thanks for any help.
