True. This was the way to do it before ZPF was implemented. But with Web Interface, you can use ZPF with the Full PN Client.

Aha...I didn't know that about the new Web Client. Thanks!!!
Joe, The old fashioned way is not really ZPF. Not a manageable solution. Difficult to direct roaming users to different Data Centres. And also difficult to ensure users are directed to the closest Data Centre, id you have multiple Data Centres running in Active/Active.
Cheers.

Please respond to thin
You can install the full PNAgent client and TWAIN will work with Web Interface. Installing the full client provides the additional files but you are not required to use the other client to use the TWAIN functionality.
FYI, the readme for the 9.2 client indicates that the Web Client now includes the TWAIN files.

So why can't you use ZPF with the Full PN Client? With the PN Client, you have two options for setting up ZPF... One is the old fashion way, by selecting the server order when configuring the Farm/Custom ICA settings. And the other way is via Web Interface and ctx policies. Works great.

A simple question really, but I'm intrigued to know what everyone is doing about this?
Correct me if I'm wrong...If we want to implement Zone Preference Failover, we need to use either the PN Agent, Web Client, or Java Client. But if we want Twain support, we need to use the PN Classic (Presentation Server Client). So how do we satisfy both requirements?
Is RemoteScan (http://www.remote-scan.com/remotescan-whitepapers.php ) an answer?
Cheers.
