[THIN] Weird Metaframe XP behaviour

I inherited an old Metaframe XP farm on Windows 2000 servers. The farm
has two servers, one used for Production apps and one used for
Dev/Testing. The servers only host one application and are validated
under GxP guidelines, so basically, they're identical. There are only
4 users in total and 3 of them have no issues, but the 4th has problems
launching the production instance every day. The problems she
encounters are either the application not accepting her password, or
not being able to launch at all. She has no issues on the dev
instance, but as they connect to different back-end databases this is
not a solution.
The web interface is installed on both servers,
but the link put on users desktops points them at the production
server. One of the other users told her to run the web interface off
the dev server instead, which she did and has left me scratching my
head as it works every time. Does this make any sense???
