I cannot speak for Florida but I have a friend who used to come here (Texas) from Bedford with the type of license that you have. He would also get an international driving permit (don't know how or where) and never had any problems renting a car. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: Angus Macdonald [mailto:Angus.Macdonald@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thu 8/28/2003 7:38 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: Subject: [THIN] Way, way, WAY off topic. Probably a new record for off topic posts I'm visiting the States ina few weeks, for the first time. I have a car booked but my UK driving license is of the old paper type, rather than one of the "big-brother is watching you" photocards. Can any Floridians confirm that I'll be able to rent the car using that license and my passport at Orlando Airport? Told you it was way off topic ;-) Angus ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor: RES PowerFuse, The Management Framework for Windows Eliminate Multiple Tools, Multiple Support Channels and Multiple Costs Manage, Control, and Secure an Entire Windows environment with Ease, including Real-time Reporting and Documenting Components Validate a Meaningful ROI on All of your IT Investments with RES PowerFuse. http://www.respowerfuse.com/ ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thethin.net/links.cfm For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm
