The only pro, is once set up it's literally take it out of the box and plug it in. It downloads all configuration settings using DHCP and FTP from the network. This includes Citrix settings. You create some custom DHCP values and bang, the devices are connecting in great. Of course they are cheap too. If you are going to purchase a large quantity of them, and deploy them as a published desktop they work pretty well. For published apps, or in mixed environment with other terminals, they aren't so hot. For instance if you only have 20 1200s and 20 3200s they probably aren't worth the extra management overhead. If you have 200 1200s and 20 3200s then they are probably worth it. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of George Yobst Sent: Tuesday, September 17, 2002 12:19 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: WYSE 1200LE It won't work with their Rapport management sw. You can remotely manage it via FTP only (kinda difficult). Can't add USB floppy (3200 will). -George Jan Homan wrote: > > Has anyone experience with the WYSE 1200LE Terminal ? > > Pros/Cons are very much appreciated. > > Thanks. > > Jan > > ********************************************** > This weeks sponsor Jetro Platforms > Jetro Platforms offers comprehensive solutions for server-based > computing, secured internet access, disaster recovery and mixed > environment. http://www.jp-inc.com/ > *********************************************** > > For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or > set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. > > http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm ********************************************** This weeks sponsor Jetro Platforms Jetro Platforms Ltd. is an enterprise software developer, bringing a new era in server-based computing, secured internet access, and disaster recovery.
