If I have a conflict in NBTSTAT, how do I remove or fix the duplicate? Nick -----Original Message----- From: Cornfield, Scott [mailto:Scott.Cornfield@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2004 2:59 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: WINS Try typing NBTSTAT -RR on the 98 workstations. This should refresh your 98 machine's WINS records. I know this command works on NT / 2000 etc but not so sure about 98. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pavlo Ignatusha Sent: 19 July 2004 14:17 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: WINS Nick, I use WINS a lot because I support Win9X clients and we have them in different VLAN/subnet from Citrix servers. Basically if you can ping your logon server by netbios name your WINS is up and running fine. If this is the case you have to look at the last few patches you put if they affect or raise logon requrements. Thanks, Pavlo Ignatusha Systems and Network Coordinator Pembroke General Hospital Tel. I have a 2000 environment and all my users except for 2 run XP. The other 2 runs 98. The trouble I'm having is I don't see the users in network places anymore and the 2 users that run 98 can't login or connect to the server. Nothing was added except the latest windows updates. Any ideas other than wiping WINS and maybe starting over. BTW- does everyone here use WINS?
