Good News/Bad News:

Good News - There is no maximum registry size in Windows 2003, so you cannot
hit that ceiling explicitly as you could in WNT or W2K.

Bad News - The memory that the registry uses in Windows 2003 is virtual memory
- so this is the same memory that your applications use. Therefore while there
is no explicit hard limit to the size of the registry in Windows 2003, you do
have to contend with the fact that now that registry that can grow to be as big
as it wants to is competing for memory with your applications.

Subject: [THIN] W2k3

Is there a place in W2K3 TS to set the Maximum Registry Size?

I'm looking for anything that I can do to find why my Proliant 6500's
that used to be able to support 100 users under NT4.0 MF1.8 can now
only support about 45 users under W2K3 MFXP.

I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks,
