Exactly! Why Microsoft does not explicitly tell us that I have no idea. :-) -----Original Message----- From: Shonk, Joe - Perot [mailto:JShonk@xxxxxxx]=20 Sent: March 5, 2004 4:09 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: W2k TS License Server Or if you specify the License server to start with the -NODC switch and specify the DefaultLicenseServer on each machine then all machines can be a member of a native W2kx AD domain. One way to get around this is to setup a machine that is NOT part of the domain and run the LS there and then force the TSs to look for that licensing server. This works also. It must be in a DC IF all your machines, including the one running the LS, are part of the domain. -----Original Message----- From: Roberto.Casagrande@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Roberto.Casagrande@xxxxxxxxxx]=3D20 Sent: March 5, 2004 3:27 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: W2k TS License Server Not if you are in an NT4 domain -----Original Message----- From: Claus, Brian [mailto:BClaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]=3D20 Sent: March 4, 2004 3:54 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: W2k TS License Server Isn't the TS license service required to run on a DC? =3D3D20 _____ =3D3D20 =3D3D20 Brian Claus, A+, Network+, MCP Network Administrator WESCO Distribution, Inc. 225 West Station Square Drive, Suite 700 Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1122 Phone: 412-454-2412 Fax: 412-454-2540 bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>=3D3D20 _____ =3D3D20 -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Shonk, Joe - Perot Sent: Thursday, March 04, 2004 2:05 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] W2k TS License Server Hello, Has anyone found a way to make the W2k TS License Server redundant (or failover) when the "DefaultLicenseServer" is specified? The TS License Service does not reside on a Member server and not a DC.
