Were your Citrix servers P2V'd? Have seen problems with Citrix servers P2V'd from physical. It should not make A difference that the Citrix servers are VM's and SQL is physical. They should look and behave just like physical. Check the usual suspects such as networking and event logs. If using VMware do you have VMware tools installed?
