Hi Michael,
There's probably someone at Microsoft that's asking why would anyone =
want to
turn off those pretty visual effects ;-)

However the following unmanged policy will do it for you.=20

------
CATEGORY "Visual Effects"
KEYNAME =
"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects"
    POLICY "Visual Effects"
        PART "Disable Visual Effects" CHECKBOX
         VALUENAME "VisualFXSetting"
             VALUEOFF NUMERIC 0
             VALUEON NUMERIC 2
        END PART
    END POLICY
        =09
END CATEGORY ; visual effects
--------

Subject: [THIN] Visual effects / Adjust for best performance

I tried not to bother the list with this one, I really did, but I can't =
find
this setting to save my life. I want to force the Visual Effects to be
"Adjust for best performance" and have not found it in the Group =
policies,
nor Google. Has anyone addressed this already with Windows2003 Terminal
Services? The difference with the setting adjusted is significant.

Thanks.
