Hi Michael,
There's probably someone at Microsoft that's asking why would anyone want to
turn off those pretty visual effects ;-)

However the following unmanged policy will do it for you.

------
CATEGORY "Visual Effects"
KEYNAME "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects"
    POLICY "Visual Effects"
        PART "Disable Visual Effects" CHECKBOX
         VALUENAME "VisualFXSetting"
             VALUEOFF NUMERIC 0
             VALUEON NUMERIC 2
        END PART
    END POLICY

END CATEGORY ; visual effects
--------

Regards,

Rick

I tried not to bother the list with this one, I really did, but I can't find
this setting to save my life. I want to force the Visual Effects to be
"Adjust for best performance" and have not found it in the Group policies,
nor Google. Has anyone addressed this already with Windows2003 Terminal
Services? The difference with the setting adjusted is significant.

Thanks.
