Better yet, the folder sharing feature isn't useful on an ESX so just disable it. In Regedit go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\ Value: Order Remove the hsfs entry, but leave the others. Delete the hsfs.dat file from the local Default User profile and the user's profiles. The problem is that it's leaving an Application Data / Vmware / hgfs.dat file in the profile and not totally deleting the whole thing when a user logs off. Then, of course, it creates a duplicate, so at the end of the day I've got hundreds of profiles. Has anybody seen this? Is there a way to tell UphClean to nuke that file/folder too (I didn't see anything in it's registry entries)?
