Your kix32.exe file should placed in the System32 dir on the server. If
it's there and if your script fill is in the correct syntax you should
be able to call your script via:

kix32 usrcfg.scr

Have you checked the permissions on your script? IE - do users have read
access to it?

If this was a multiple server scenario, I'd suggest hosting your script
on a server share where you can best manage permissions to the file. If
you did this you could execute the script via:

Kix32 \\servername\sharename\usrcfg.scr

Aside from all of this. Try taking Usrlogon.cmd and UsrLogn2.Cmd out of
the picture. Can you create a batch file with your call to the script
file and execute it manually as an admin and an end user? =20

You may want to also check the kix forum's if you haven't already.

Thanks for the suggestion Jim H but we are still getting the "Script
error:
failed to find/open script!" message after I REM out those two
statements. I
do agree with idea, it definitely appears to be a Path issue...Kixtart
is
fantastic until you get into this kind of a problem. Any other
suggestions
would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Is this on a Win2k server?

Try REM'ing out this entry in usrlogn.cmd

Call "%SystemRoot%\Application Compatibility Scripts\SetPaths.Cmd"
If "%_SETPATHS%" =3D3D=3D3D "FAIL" Goto Done

I've found this statement to cause similar issues in the past.=3D20

if usrlogn2 is running surely usrlogon.cmd is running as it is this that
calls usrlogn2.cmd as shown below......

If Not Exist %SystemRoot%\System32\UsrLogn2.Cmd Goto Cont1

Cd Logon
Call %SystemRoot%\System32\UsrLogn2.Cmd

:Cont1

We are modifying the usrlogn2.cmd file calling a Kix start script. To
try
to troubleshoot this script we put a pause in usrlogon.cmd and the pause
is
at the top of this script file and it is not executing. The error that
we
are getting and my researched pointed that it is a kix32 error "script
error: failed to find/open script". I don't understand why the pause
statement does not run which means usrlogon.cmd isn't running. Any
ideas? =3D20

Thanks in advance.=3D20
