Actually I don't have any of the other symptoms occurring that you
have, my CMC works fine, all users enumerate, and it's just with shadow
taskbar that it stops. And it doesn't matter if you are an admin the
same happens. As for the perfmon counter log, I haven't checked that. I
won't be having this issue because I have my servers on a scheduled
reboot. I have a department that we publish shadow taskbar to for
training in our remote sites and I cannot afford for it not to work.
However, as I said as soon as Citrix gives me a fix I will post it for
you.

Hmm the shadow taskbar symptom is identical to mine, and the reboot
"fix" is the same. I don't get anywhere near 700 sessions. I suspect
WMI. I know there is a memory leak (at least), and perhaps some
incompatibility. Will you do me a favor? Next time you run into the
problem with enumerating users in the shadow taskbar (and before you
reboot) see if you have my other symptoms:
1. Terminal Services Manager cannot connect to the affected server
2. Citrix Mgmt Console is empty in the "Users" and "Sessions" tabs
-also-
When 1 of my servers was "fading" (as I call it) I tried to create a
perfmon counter log. It failed, but to this date my server thinks it
exists (by name) although it cannot be seen. WMI, methinks.

Ooooh spooky,
Bob

I'm not sure if this is related but I have addressed a bug in MFXP that
once the ICA-TCP sessions hit 700-1000 users will stop enumerating in
shadow taskbar. A reboot fixes it. I have sent this into Citrix; they
have duplicated the problem in their lab but have yet to find a fix for
it. I too have installed all related hotfixes recommended by Citrix. I
will post the fix once it is released, hopefully it will fix your issue
too.

Take a look at:

Hotfix XE101W014
The Citrix Management Console may display only a partial list of groups
and
users when enumerating domain accounts.

Hope that helps.

Users and sessions cannot be seen in the TS Mgr or the CMC on occasion.
Servers are Win2k/SP3, Citrix MF 1/FR2. When I open TS Mgr, occasionally
it fails to connect to one of my MetaFrame servers. If I look in the
CMC, the user and session info is not listed, but all other tabs are
populated. The ZDC is okay, it will report load on the affected server,
and user sessions run normally. Administrators cannot manage the
sessions through TS Mgr, CMC, or shadowing. A reboot will clear the
problem for an unspecified period, sometimes less than a week. It can
occur on any farm server. I'd be interested to see if anybody else has
experienced this anomaly and solved it without SP4.
