[THIN] Upgrading to PS 4.0

Hi all , I am building a new farm with PS 4.0 and I'd like to move my
old servers to the new farm.
The old servers currently have MetaFrame 1.8 and MetaFrame XP FR3.
Would it be okay to uninstall 1.8 or XP from those servers and install
PS 4.0 and join the new farm?  Or should I rebuild the servers?
