is it only MS Office apps? If it is, it might be creating some things it needs that are missing in = the profile. Are you running Mandatory profiles? its a total shot in the dark but it might give you a place to start. The document loads just = fine and quite quickly. BUT.. as soon as he clicks the mouse button, or = presses a key on the keyboard, the app hangs for about 20 seconds. During that time, he can go to other apps, use the Start Menu etc. If you bring up = Task Manager while this is going on, the app shows 'Not Responding'. After = this happens once, then the app/document work fine. =20 I've looked at basic stuff in PerfMon and TaskMgr and don't see anything peculiar. =20 Has anyone ever seen this before? =20 This is a W2k/MF18 server with 2GB of RAM and Dual CPU's. Looks like = plenty of RAM available and CPU's average below 20% usage. We're using Office 2000, but apparently the problem is NOT limited to Office documents. =20 -- N.
