Just been doing a bit of googling using different key words that have come to me over the course of this list conversation. I came across VNC recorder.. Now I doubt that VNC can work correctly in a terminal server environment. BUT if I load it onto the local PCs then I'm on to a winner I think.. Only trouble is VNC is slow as anything on the older machines I have here http://www.sodan.org/~penny/vncrec/ VNCREC http://www.unixuser.org/~euske/vnc2swf/ Even better is VNC to shockwave !. Oh and I've just found out that TIGHTVNC includes it native Oh how wonderful, citrix plan to include this in their future releases.... Anyone here a beta tester :) Of course RDP recording would be just as good as ICA recording... Anyone here in contact with anyone at the RDP projects on sourceforge.. Maybe I can get them to add the feature ? ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Kenzig http://thethin.net To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, November 25, 2004 5:43 PM Subject: [THIN] Re: URGENT:Any way to record a ICA session ? I just remembered Systrack also which may help you out... http://www.lakesidesoftware.com/ JK "COOPER, Edwin" <EJCOOPER@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: For IBM shops, IBM Director has a built-in function to record a session remotely. I just saw this demo'd during a IBM Director/Blade Center course last week. Not sure about other vendors. -----Original Message----- From: Lilley, Brian [mailto:brian.lilley@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, November 25, 2004 1:14 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: URGENT:Any way to record a ICA session ? there are a load of free screen cam recorder type jobs.. if its possible for your user to record at their desktop?? -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jim Kenzig http://thethin.net Sent: 25 November 2004 17:09 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: URGENT:Any way to record a ICA session ? The Citrix Iris Project for MPS 4 will be able to do this in the future. Not yet though. If you have HP Openview you can do it: http://devresource.hp.com/drc/resources/probebuilder_intro/4.jsp I seem to recall Aurema Armtech for Citrix can record a lot of the citrix events. You could get a demo of it and see if it helps. JK Andrew Cooke <acooke@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: We have a very buggy application. Is there any way I can record a citrix session for later playback ? My user base is vast, and the users seem not to be able to tell us exactly what they did before the crash happens. Any help with this would be greatly recieved.
