I use the native DekJet 550C driver for all colour deskjets without issues.
I wouldn't let a modern HP driver near the farm.

Is there known problems with printer HP 980C under W2000 Server, Metaframe
1.8 FR1 ?
My configuration seems to be instable, sometimes the client printer is ok,
sometimes not, sometimes the autocreated printer is deleted.
