They are not coming across a WAN and range anywhere from dual T1 to GB connected. We see the issue at both sites... _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Philip.Walley@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, July 14, 2008 4:42 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Typing Latency "Clients are hard wired to the dual T1 network and the SMC traces appear clean even while the issue is occurring." are they coming over a WAN? Today I looked a bit at process explorer and I was seeing some really high context switching numbers...Another thing that stood out was Symantec Realtime scanning was still consuming resources even though real time scanning is disabled for Citrix Servers via Enterprise Management Console. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Andrew Wood Sent: Monday, July 14, 2008 2:47 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Typing Latency Group hug ;) -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Greenberg Sent: 14 July 2008 20:18 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Typing Latency I love these responses- they gives me a chuckle to know that we have all seen the same things! Rgds Andy -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Jim Cannon Sent: Sat 12/07/2008 14:49 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Typing Latency Well we are at our wits end with this one and looking for some advice... First our background: Windows 2003 Enterprise Server with SP2 - 32 BIT Xenapp 4.0 with R04 Compaq C Series blades, Dual Quad Core Proc with 16 GB RAM, NICS are attached GB connection Clients are connecting with the newest Full PN ICA Client 10.2 through Web Interface 4.5 We are experiencing typing delays and some random disconnects. Session Reliability is kicking in from time to time with some session disconnects. We have opened a case with Citrix and checked the normal stuff such as Network QOS traces, perfmon traces, and speedscreen settings to no avail..Clients are hard wired to the dual T1 network and the SMC traces appear clean even while the issue is occurring..Norton AV is installed on the workstations and Citrix Servers but real time scanning is disabled on the Citrix Servers and a nightly scan is conducted at 2:00 AM..Servers are rebooted weekly as well... Any ideas? ************************************************ For Archives, RSS, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: //www.freelists.org/list/thin NEW!
